Ivan Rabuzin, one of the most famous Naive painters in the world, in this work of art has depicted Spring in the woods with the trees in flower. The clouds are pink like the flowers on the trees and dominate the upper part of the picture. The artist usually depicts scenes from his native Zagorje with its gentle rolling hills.
This is a picturesque country scene with small village houses in the middle ground. Painted in his characteristic style, this Spring landscape is rich in the number of subtle green tones in the lower part of the picture.Using a number of gentle blue tones Rabuzin painted a sky with gray and white clouds floating on it. There is a fairytale feeling created by the giant flowers in the foreground.
